So I spent ~$150 more on the 7X Sapphire Solar compared to the 6X Sapphire I got from Amazon like a month or so back. For me, it made sense to spend the extra $150 to buy the watch which comes with Sapphire and Solar, the "better" GPS chipset and the HR sensor. Now, at 45% my calculus might have changed and I'd have gone with the 6X Sapphire.
The only thing I didnt like about my 6X (sold it) is when the sun is in the foreground, eg, like when driving, light coming in from the windscreen, plus with sunglasses on, the 6X screen is unreadable, too dark, even with the back light set to 50%, dont like it any higher as it caused a battery hit.

At this juncture I would be a bit considered with the Fenix 7 series, whatever it turns out to be. I've read that the launch delay is related to the global chip shortage, and while I absolutely feel the 6X is a stellar buy, unless you're truly in immediate need I would hold out for a bit longer and see what a series 7 release looks like.

The 5X was a nice watch. I had it, sold it to a coworker and purchased a 5+. Then, I got the 6 Pro Ti on a sale and enjoyed it.
